CDL-A Delivery Driver — Average $70,000/Year

Our company in Hattiesburg, MS is looking for a CDL-A delivery driver to haul food and food-related products to customers on local, OTR, shuttle, and drive-and-drop routes. You'll run Monday through Friday with dispatch between 4am and 6am.

What you'll haul

• Food and food service products delivered to customers on intrastate and interstate routes, including local, over-the-road, shuttle, overnight, and drive-and-drop runs

• You'll unload freight, verify counts against invoices, and get signatures confirming delivery

• Some stops require collecting cash or checks and loading customer returns for the trip back

What the job involves

• Pre- and post-trip inspections of your tractor and trailer to stay DOT compliant

• Loading, securing, and inspecting freight before each run

• Completing accurate, legible delivery paperwork and logging hours of service

• Keeping your truck and the dock area clean, and reporting any safety concerns or needed repairs

• Treating customers, vendors, and coworkers professionally as the face of the company on the road

Requirements

• Valid CDL-A

• At least 12 months of commercial driving experience

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent

• Minimum age 21

• Clean MVR for the past 3 years

• Valid DOT Health Card, or able to obtain one

• Able to pass a post-offer drug test, background check, and road test

• Able to hand-lift freight and use a two-wheeler or lift gate to move cases generally weighing 10-35 lbs, and up to 60-90 lbs depending on location

• Preferred: 1+ years of commercial driving experience, 6+ months in foodservice or beverage delivery, and basic computer skills
