About this job
Our company is hiring a CDL-A delivery driver in Hyannis, MA to handle local foodservice routes. You'll drive, unload, and build relationships with customers along your route, with pay starting day one and benefits kicking in right away.
Pay
- Starts at $35.76 per hour, moving up to $40.24 per hour after 6 months on the job
- Paid every week
- Overtime pay may apply
- Actual rate depends on experience, education, skills, and location
Schedule and location
- Based out of Hyannis, MA
- Works Monday through Saturday, with one weekday off and Sundays always free
- Dispatch runs between 2 am and 5 am
What you'll haul
- Food and beverage products delivered to customers
- All freight is hand-unloaded using a two-wheeler, ramp, or manual carrying - this is a 100% touch-freight role
- You'll confirm each delivery, collect signatures, and manage payments or collections where needed
Requirements
- At least 21 years old
- Valid Class A CDL from your state of residence with required endorsements and DOT qualifications
- At least 6 months of commercial driving experience in any industry, or 3 months specifically in food or beverage delivery
- Able to read and communicate in English well enough to understand road signs, respond to official requests, and complete paperwork
- Must register with the FMCSA Clearinghouse, a federally required database tracking drug and alcohol violations for CDL holders
- Comfortable driving in bad weather with frequent stops (10 or more per shift), working in temperatures as low as 0 degrees, and repeatedly lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling 20 to 80+ lbs of product throughout each shift
- Ability to drive manual transmission is preferred and may be required depending on location
