CDL-A Delivery Driver — $32.50–$35.00/hr, Home Every Night

This is a full-time CDL-A delivery job out of Hudson, NY with our company's Foods. You drive Monday to Friday, finish your day at home each night, and keep your weekends free. The work includes hands-on unloading at customer sites, including refrigerated and frozen areas.

Pay

• $32.50 to $35.00 per hour, set by how much Class A driving experience you have

• Paid weekly

• Overtime once you pass 40 hours

• Quarterly incentives for performance and safety, paid on top of your hourly rate

• Paid on-the-job training

Schedule and home time

• Monday through Friday, with start and end times that change from day to day

• Home every night

• Saturdays and Sundays off

What the job involves

• Go over the day's paperwork and manifest, match manifest invoice numbers to customer invoice numbers, and fix manifests or invoices when needed

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections on the tractor and trailer, and keep accurate reports and daily logs

• Deliver product to customer locations and place it in the right area (dry, cooler or frozen)

• Unload heavy product with a hand truck and ramps, working over stairs, inclines and uneven surfaces

• Take cash from customers when required and handle it under company policy

• Work professionally with customers and try to sort out any concerns that come up

• Follow DOT rules, traffic laws and the company's safety and delivery procedures

Requirements

• Valid Class A CDL and a DOT medical card

• No major violations on your driving record in the past 36 months

• Able to lift and move cases from 1 to 80 lbs.

• Comfortable on stairs, ramps and inclines, and in refrigerated and frozen spaces

• High school education or better

• Preferred: 1 year of CDL-A delivery experience
