About this job
Our company is looking for a solo CDL-A driver to run a dedicated route between Fort Worth and Lubbock, with daily home time. This is drop and hook freight hauled for FedEx Ground, with no touching of cargo and no dock waiting.
Pay
- $1,800.00 per week, based on 6 days of driving
- Paid by the route
- Extra runs are available if you want them, but not required
Schedule and route
- Dedicated Fort Worth to Lubbock lane
- Departs Fort Worth daily at 3:30pm to avoid traffic
- Home every day
- Multiple team run positions are also open
What you'll haul
- Trailers for FedEx Ground, swapped at cross dock or swap points
- Drop and hook only, no loading or dock waits
- Late model sleeper and day cab tractors provided
Requirements
- Valid CDL Class A with Doubles Endorsement
- At least 1 year of verifiable tractor-trailer experience in the last 3 years
- Clean driving record: no more than two moving violations or accidents over the past 3 years
- Able to pass a background check (employment, education, criminal history) and a drug screening
- Dependable attendance, strong safety habits and good customer service skills
- Physically able to see, hear, move, stand, sit, reach and safely get in and out of the truck
About the role
You'll be responsible for operating your assigned equipment safely, following all applicable laws and company standards, reporting any vehicle issues, accidents or violations, and serving as the main point of contact with the customer or driver at the swap location.
