About this job
Our company has a full-time CDL-A opening on a dedicated linehaul run between Des Moines, IA and Kansas City, MO. You'll work with pre-booked loads, drop and hook dry van trailers, and be home every day with no weekend work.
Pay
- $28.00 per hour, paid bi-weekly
- Overtime kicks in after 40 hours
Schedule
- Monday through Friday
- Start time around 2:00 a.m.
- Home daily, weekends off
What you'll haul
- Dry van freight only, using 45- and 53-foot trailers
- Drop and hook setup, no touch freight
- Running a 2027 Freightliner on the dedicated Des Moines to Kansas City route
What the job involves
- Keeping deliveries on schedule and on time
- Checking your truck before runs to make sure it's road ready
- Logging deliveries and getting proof-of-delivery signatures
- Following all traffic and safety laws
- Letting dispatch know right away about any delays or problems
Requirements
- Valid CDL-A
- At least 1 year of tractor-trailer experience
- At least 1 year of OTR experience
