Home time

This is a six-day-a-week night shift with a guaranteed 34-hour reset at home every week.

What you'll haul

Dedicated grocery runs using a mix of drop-and-hook and live unloads. No touch freight involved.

Getting started

  • A recruiter will call to go over your CDL and driving history with you
  • Orientation runs up to 2 days; your hotel is covered, your one-way bus fare is reimbursed, and you get $300 once hired
  • You'll spend 4 to 6 weeks riding with a mentor learning backing, trip planning, logging and fueling, paid at $650 a week
  • You'll then get your own truck, averaging about 1.5 years old, in either automatic or 10-speed

Common questions from new drivers

  • You'll be home weekly for your 34-hour reset
  • Orientation costs you nothing: hotel paid, bus fare reimbursed, plus $300 after you're hired
  • CDL school counts toward the experience requirement if it was 120 hours or more
  • Routes are planned in advance, and your driver leader is available if something comes up on the road

Requirements

  • Must be at least 21 years old with a Class A CDL
  • New drivers need 120+ hours of CDL school, or 6 months of recent driving experience if not
  • Up to 2 moving violations in the last 2 years are acceptable; no DUI/DWI within the past 10 years
  • Must pass a DOT physical along with a hair and urine drug screen

Benefits

After 30 days, you get full medical, dental, vision and prescription coverage, a 401(k), an employee stock purchase plan, paid vacation, annual raises, and a free online degree program for you and a family member. Pets and riders are welcome, and trainees can bring a dog once training wraps up.
