CDL-A Dedicated Driver — Home 2x/Week, $1,600–$1,700/wk

Run a dedicated account out of Las Vegas with early-morning store deliveries, home twice a week, and new CDL grads welcome. Regional lanes connect Las Vegas, Phoenix, San Diego and Utah.

Pay

• $1,600 to $1,700 a week on average

• $0.60 to $0.62 per mile depending on experience, paid on every loaded mile

• Around 1,800 miles weekly

• $100 per load for unloading, plus $25 per stop

• Paid weekly during training and by direct deposit after

Home time

You're back home twice a week, including for your 34-hour reset. Weekend runs are uncommon.

What you'll haul

Most stops are store deliveries with roll carts and some loose boxes. Expect 1 to 2 hours per unload.

Requirements

• Class A CDL issued in your state of residence, age 21+

• Either a new grad with 120+ hours of CDL school, or 6 months of recent driving experience

• No more than 2 moving violations in the last 2 years

• No DUI or DWI in the last 10 years

• Must pass a DOT physical and a hair and urine drug test

Getting started

Expect a call from a recruiter the same day you apply to review your license and driving record. Orientation runs up to 2 days, with your hotel covered and bus fare reimbursed, plus a $300 payment once you're hired. After that, you'll spend 4 to 6 weeks training with a mentor on backing, logbooks, fueling and trip planning, earning pay the whole time. Once you're ready, you'll get your own truck, averaging about 1.5 years old.
