About this job
GreenWaste, a recycling and waste diversion company based in Watsonville, CA, is hiring a Container Delivery Driver to operate out of its facility at 375 Industrial Rd. You'll run assigned trucks, coordinate with dispatch, and keep containers moving on schedule.
Pay
- $36.67 - $48.90 an hour, based on experience
Schedule
- Typically Monday through Friday, with routes and start/end times that can shift based on daily operational needs
- Outdoor work in all weather conditions
What you'll do
- Haul containers over long distances and get them to customers on time
- Load and unload cargo and keep delivery records
- Refuel, clean, and inspect your vehicle, logging any issues
- Communicate with dispatch on road incidents or mechanical problems
- Follow DOT rules, traffic laws, and accident procedures
- Plan routes with GPS and track your hours
Requirements
- Class A CDL or other commercial driver license
- Valid TWIC card
- Clean driving record and current MVR
- Pass a drug and alcohol screening
- Current medical certificate
- High school diploma
- Able to lift, push, or pull up to 75 lbs, with frequent bending, climbing, and standing
- English required; Spanish also valuable
