CDL-A City Driver — $33.63/hr

Our company is hiring a City Driver in Croydon, PA to haul freight between service centers and customers on local routes. You'll run tractor-trailer combinations, including doubles and triples where applicable, plus straight trucks.

Pay

• Starting pay is $33.63 per hour

What you'll haul

• LTL freight moved between service centers and customer locations

• Freight may be placarded hazardous materials under DOT rules

• Work may include doubles/triples combinations where operated

Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment before each trip and hook/unhook trailers and dollies

• Load and secure freight with a forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, straps and pallets

• Complete paperwork, collect payment when needed, and follow hazmat procedures

• Stay in contact with dispatch and build relationships with customers, including flagging sales leads

• Help out on the dock or as a road driver when the operation needs it

• Chain tires when conditions call for it

Requirements

• Class A CDL with doubles/triples, hazmat and tank endorsements (automatic transmission restriction is fine)

• Hazmat endorsement must be earned within 120 days of your start

• One year of driving experience in the last three years, or completion of our company's Driver Development Course

• A motor vehicle record that meets hiring standards and full compliance with DOT Part 391 rules

• Able to lift up to 100 lbs repeatedly, handle physical tasks like bending and climbing in/out of the cab, and work independently or on a team
