About this job

WM is looking for a CDL truck driver in Marshfield, WI to run waste, recycling, or roll-off routes, Monday through Friday with early start times. You're home every day, and pay runs $22.00 to $31.00.

Pay and schedule

  • Pay range: $22.00 to $31.00
  • Schedule: Monday through Friday, early start times
  • Home daily

What you'll do

Depending on the line of business and truck type, you'll run a heavy-duty truck fitted with a front, side, or rear-end loader. Commercial routes involve picking up containers of waste or recyclables (some over 1,000 pounds) and moving them to pickup spots, often in tight, busy areas that call for strong backing skills. Residential routes mean collecting household waste or recyclables while navigating crowded streets, driveways, and alleys. Roll-off routes involve prepping, loading, and hauling large open-top or compactor containers from customer sites, sometimes through industrial areas with low overhead clearance.

On the job, you'll also:

  • Follow all safety rules along with OSHA, DOT, and local/state/federal regulations
  • Check your truck before and after each shift and log it on a DVIR
  • Flag any safety concerns or service problems to your Route Manager or Dispatch right away
  • Join required training sessions and meetings
  • Work with your Route Manager to find ways to run routes more efficiently
  • Report accidents, injuries, incidents, or property damage immediately
  • Let Dispatch or your Route Manager know about blocked streets, overweight containers, or other service issues
  • Pass along customer requests to the right people
  • Empty containers fully and leave sites clean of debris
  • Stick to assigned routes, complete end-of-shift paperwork, and help other drivers when needed

Requirements

  • No prior experience required
  • English skills sufficient to deal with the public, read traffic signs, answer official questions, and fill out reports
  • At least 18 years old and legally able to work in the country
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug screen and physical
  • CDL Class A or Class B with an air-brake endorsement
  • High school diploma or GED preferred, not required

This is a safety-sensitive position, so you'll need to follow all safety protocols and be subject to drug and alcohol testing, including pre-employment, post-incident, reasonable-suspicion, and random testing as required by law and company policy.

Benefits

Eligible employees get a full package including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, plus short-term disability. There's also a stock purchase plan, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation, holidays, and personal days. Benefits can vary by location.

The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
