CDL-A/B Transit Bus Driver — $15.75–$19.50/hr

Our company is hiring a CDL bus driver in El Paso, TX to carry passengers safely around the community, with year-round full-time hours.

Pay

• Starting pay ranges from $15.75 to $19.50 per hour

• This is a Non-CBA position

What you'll do

• Follow your assigned routes and schedule while obeying traffic laws and safety rules

• Help riders get on and off safely and keep the trip comfortable for everyone

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks, flag any maintenance concerns, and keep the bus clean and equipped with working safety gear

• Follow company rules on seat belts, emergency procedures, and other regulations

• Handle other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old

• Valid CDL A or B with a Passenger endorsement

• At least 3 years of driving experience, personal or professional

• Strong communication and customer service skills

• Able to work varied or flexible shifts

• Must pass DOT drug testing and a physical exam where required; marijuana use is not permitted under DOT rules even where legal under state law

• Able to work outdoors in all weather, sometimes alone or in remote spots

• Able to sit for 6 to 8 hours a day, walk long distances on uneven or slippery ground, push or pull 30-45 lbs occasionally, lift up to 50 lbs with or without help, and bend, kneel, or crouch as needed

• Comfortable working in heavy traffic with exposure to dust, exhaust, and noise

• Must be legally eligible to work in the U.S. without sponsorship and pass a pre-employment drug screen
