CDL-A/B Local Delivery Driver, Hazmat — $29/hr, Home Daily

Our company is looking for a local delivery driver in Pecos, TX to haul compressed gas cylinders between the branch and local business customers. You'll drive a company-provided straight or box truck on set local routes and be home every day.

Pay

• $29 per hour

• Potential for two bonuses, paid out quarterly

Schedule

• Monday through Friday, day shift, starting at 7 am

• Local routes only, home daily

What you'll haul

• Compressed gas cylinders delivered to and picked up from business customers, both outside and within company sites

• You'll load, unload and track cylinders on a manifest, get customer signatures, and bring back empty, rejected or unsold cylinders for refilling

• You may also help out in the warehouse or on the dock when needed

Requirements

• Valid Texas Class A or B CDL

• Valid DOT medical card

• Hazmat and air brake endorsements required

• No more than 2 traffic convictions or 2 at-fault accidents in the past 3 years (or 1 of each)

• At least 1 year of CDL driving experience in the past 5 years, or a trucking school completion certificate from within the last 12 months

• Minimum age 21

• Able to read and understand safety data sheets

• Able to lift 25-75 lbs regularly, and 76-125+ lbs occasionally with equipment assistance

• Able to drive loads of hazardous materials for up to 8 hours, with frequent bending

• Comfortable working independently and meeting deadlines

• Willing to obtain forklift certification
