About this job
Our company is looking for CDL-A drivers for Amazon contract freight and over-the-road routes out of Houston, TX. You will run tractor-trailers and keep freight moving safely and on schedule.
Pay
- $1,800 to $2,600 per week.
What you'll do
- Run OTR and local delivery routes, using GPS and route-planning tools.
- Pick up and deliver no-touch freight, secure the cargo, and handle it by hand when needed.
- Work with drop-and-hook trailers, including loading and unloading.
- Stay within FMCSA and DOT rules.
- Do required vehicle inspections and delivery paperwork, and speak up about safety or cargo problems.
Requirements
- A valid CDL Class A and the ability to meet the applicable driving and safety standards.
- Background in commercial, delivery or route driving; delivery experience is preferred.
- Comfort with GPS navigation and tractor-trailers.
