CDL-1A Cross-Border Long Haul Truck Driver — Open Deck

Our company in Calgary, AB is looking for Company Drivers, new or experienced, to run open deck freight across the Canada-US border. You'll join a safety-focused team handling cross-border lanes.

Pay

• $50,000.00-$75,000.00 per year

• Extra pay for securing and tarping loads

What you'll haul

• Open deck (flatbed-style) freight on cross-border runs between Canada and the United States

What the job involves

• Checking your truck and trailer before each trip to confirm everything is safe to run

• Keeping logs, inspection records and other paperwork up to date

• Staying in touch with dispatch about load details, scheduling and any safety issues

• Keeping the cab and trailer clean inside and out

• Doing full pre-trip and post-trip checks, covering brakes, lights, tires and how the load is secured

Requirements

• At least one year of long-haul or cross-border driving experience is preferred

• High school diploma

• Valid Class 1A or Commercial Driver's License

• Solid understanding of transportation safety rules and regulations

• Good communication skills and a customer-service mindset

• Able to secure and tarp loads when needed

• Able to handle the physical demands of the job
