Casual Courier Driver — $24/hr

Our company is hiring a casual courier driver in Cranbrook, BC to pick up and deliver packages on an assigned route. The pay is $24 an hour, and you need to be available for at least 4 shifts a month.

• You must work at least 4 shifts each month

What you'll do

• Collect and deliver packages along your assigned route while representing the company professionally

• Check each shipment against our company's service features and make sure labels and paperwork are accurate

• Load your van, plan an efficient route, and keep packages, equipment and the vehicle secure

• Use the computerized tracking and dispatch systems and enter correct information

• Answer customer questions about services and Canada, US and international requirements, and pass sales leads to the sales department

• Drive safely and follow all regulations and company procedures

• Depending on location and workload, you may also load and unload aircraft or containers and sort and scan packages

Requirements

• A valid driver's license and a good driving record, with no more than two violations and/or accidents in the last 24 months

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Pass the mandatory pre-placement driver assessment training

• Able to lift 70 lbs and handle packages up to 150 lbs using proper equipment

• Strong customer service, communication, time management and organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure

• One year of customer-oriented business experience is preferred; knowledge of our company operations and Canadian Customs rules is an asset
