Box Truck Driver — From $20.00/hr

Our company in Round Rock, TX is looking for a Box Truck Driver to handle local and over-the-road routes. You'll be responsible for safe, on-time deliveries while keeping up with all required paperwork and communication.

Pay

• Starting from $20.00 per hour

• Expected to work 40 to 50 hours per week

What you'll do

• Drive box trucks on local and OTR routes, following FMCSA and DOT rules

• Load and unload freight by hand, making sure everything is secured for the trip

• Use GPS to plan and follow delivery routes on schedule

• Haul hazardous or dangerous goods when needed, following the proper safety rules

• Check your truck, trailer and cargo before and after each trip

• Keep accurate logs, shipping paperwork and incident reports

• Stay in touch with dispatch, customers and coworkers to keep deliveries on track and sort out problems quickly

Requirements

• Background in commercial truck driving, delivery or freight transport

• Working knowledge of FMCSA, DOT and hazardous materials rules and safety practices

• Experience loading and unloading freight, including hazardous or dangerous goods

• Comfortable using GPS for route planning

• Solid grasp of proper loading, unloading and cargo handling procedures
