Box Truck Delivery Driver / Warehouse Worker — $20.00/hr

Our company in Kennesaw, GA is looking for someone to split their time between driving a box truck and helping out in the warehouse. You'll need to be dependable, safety-minded, and comfortable switching between tasks as the day's needs change.

Pay

• Starting at $20.00 per hour

What you'll do

• Deliver finished goods from the distribution warehouse to customers, safely and on time

• Check your vehicle before driving for mechanical problems or safety issues, and keep up with routine maintenance checks

• Follow all driving laws and company rules, including those covering size, weight, routes, parking and break periods

• Back the truck into position for loading and unloading

• Load and unload shipments, double-checking quantities and handling goods carefully

• Pitch in on warehouse tasks like order picking, packing, keeping inventory organized and general tidying

• Gather and confirm delivery paperwork and instructions

• Let your manager know right away about any vehicle problems, accidents or violations

Requirements

• Prior experience driving trucks and/or working in a warehouse

• A valid driver's license and a clean record, with no recent moving violations

• Able to pass a physical exam to get and keep a Medical Card

• Comfortable using equipment like GPS units, AVL systems and CB radios

• Solid understanding of the rules that govern truck driving

• Able to lift and move heavy items

• Good at adjusting on the fly when traffic, weather or schedules change

• Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work alone or as part of a team
