About this job
Our company in Sault Ste. Marie, ON needs an AZ driver to run vacuum trucks and handle septic work. You'll long haul between Thunder Bay and the GTA, operating a manual transmission rig, while supporting the Vacuum Truck Services team.
What you'll do
- Hydro excavating, confined space entry, spill cleanup, line flushing, power washing and water hauling
- Loading, transporting and unloading hazardous and non-hazardous materials
- Running vacuum, hydrovac, box, van trailer and roll-off trucks, plus pick-up trucks, utility trailers, forklifts, excavators and bobcats as needed
- Supporting plant operations on a shift schedule
- Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections and all required transport paperwork
- Keeping tools and equipment clean, and checking in at the end of each run to confirm paperwork is accurate and complete
- Following all applicable MOE, MOL and MTO rules
Requirements
- Valid AZ licence
- Able to drive manual transmission
- US Fast Pass, since this route crosses the border
- Clean driver's abstract
- Mechanical aptitude
- Experience hauling liquids
- Familiarity with Transportation of Dangerous Goods rules
- Comfortable in a fast-paced setting with shift work and overtime as needed
