About this job
Protrans is looking for an AZ driver based in Arthur, ON to run short-haul US trips into the midwest and eastern seaboard, hauling general freight and TDG loads. You'll be out for 1 to 2 nights at a time, then home for your reset.
Pay
- $26.65 per hour, plus a mileage bonus of $0.03 to $0.05 per mile in the US
- Wait time and border crossing time count toward your hourly pay
- You can be paid for up to 14 hours in a day
- A yearly uniform allowance is provided
Schedule and routes
- Most runs roll out between 6am and 9am
- Trips are short-haul, covering the US midwest and eastern seaboard
- Expect 1 to 2 nights away before returning home for reset
Requirements
- At least 1 year of verifiable AZ driving experience
- A valid passport and the ability to cross into the US
- A FAST card is a plus but not required
- Current driver's abstract and CVOR
- Must clear a security background check
- Pre-employment drug test required before you start
- Able to sit for long stretches during the drive
- Incorporated drivers are not eligible for this role
