About this job
Our company needs AZ-licensed drivers out of Ajax, Ontario for runs to Montreal or local routes. You'll move freight on time and in one piece, with some hands-on loading and equipment duties along the way.
Pay
- $6,000-$7,000 per month
What you'll haul
- General freight by commercial truck, either on the Ajax-Montreal run or on local routes
Requirements
- Valid AZ license and a clean record behind the wheel
- Roughly 1 year of experience driving commercial trucks or working in freight/logistics is preferred
- Comfortable operating a forklift or other heavy equipment is a bonus
- Some know-how in basic vehicle repair or diagnosing mechanical issues is a plus
What you'll do
- Handle loading and unloading, including forklift work when needed
- Run pre-trip and post-trip vehicle checks
- Keep delivery records in order and stay connected with dispatch
- Make sure loads are properly secured and balanced
- Stick to safety procedures and the rules of the road
