AZ Truck Driver — $36.00/hr, Cross-Border Long-Haul

Our company in Georgetown, ON is looking for AZ licensed drivers to join a growing team, with 10 openings available. The role covers local, short-haul and long-haul runs, including cross-border trips, and training is available for drivers who need it.

Pay

• $36.00 hourly, based on a 40-hour work week

• Permanent, full-time position

• Travel expenses covered by the employer

What you'll haul

• Drive straight or articulated trucks carrying general freight, including dangerous goods

• Load, unload, tarp and secure cargo

• Handle paperwork such as bills of lading, trip reports, logbooks, inspection reports and cross-border documents

• Use GPS and other navigation tools, and relay updates to dispatch

Schedule and travel

• Be ready for overnight, extended and international travel, including driving as part of a two-person team or convoy when needed

• Comfortable with mountain routes and varying road conditions

Requirements

• Valid AZ class licence and manual transmission skills

• High school diploma or equivalent

• No prior experience required, training provided

• Must pass a driving record check, licence validity check and drug test

• Able to handle heavy, repetitive physical work and long hours seated while driving

• Strong attention to detail, reliability, organization and teamwork

• Able to perform basic truck upkeep like pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections, preventive maintenance, brake adjustments and roadside fixes
