Our company in Ottawa, ON is looking for a dependable AZ-licensed truck driver to haul freight safely and on schedule while following Ontario trucking rules.
Pay
- $25.50-$30.00 per hour
- Expected hours: 40.0-60.0 per week
What you'll do
- Drive and handle AZ-class trucks and trailers
- Get freight to its destination on time
- Check your vehicle before and after each trip and flag any mechanical problems
- Keep logbooks, inspection records and delivery documents up to date
- Stay within traffic laws, safety rules and company procedures
- Keep dispatch and customers informed professionally
- Make sure your load is secured properly
Requirements
- Valid Ontario AZ driver's licence
- Clean driving history
- Prior experience driving trucks is a plus
- Familiar with Hours of Service rules and electronic logging devices (ELDs)
- Comfortable doing pre-trip and post-trip checks
- Dependable, on time and safety-minded
- Able to legally work in Canada
