Our company in Smiths Falls, ON is looking for an experienced AZ driver to haul loads to customers across Ontario and Quebec. This is a full-time role on a growing fleet, reporting to the Fleet Supervisor.
Pay
- $25.00 to $29.00 per hour, based on experience
Schedule
- Full-time, Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed
- Weekly hours change with the season
- Shifts can run up to 14 hours
What you'll haul
- Deliveries from Smiths Falls, ON to customer sites throughout Ontario and Quebec
- When no loads are scheduled, you may work inside the manufacturing plant or in the yard
Requirements
- Valid AZ licence and air brake endorsement
- Minimum age 25
- Clean 3-year driver's abstract
- 5 years of relevant trailer-driving experience
- Comfortable securing, blocking and bracing loads, and loading/unloading by hand
- Able to climb onto loads, work in varied weather, and lift up to 100 pounds
- Strong English communication skills, both spoken and written, and able to follow instructions
- Wide load or crane truck experience is a plus
- Daily vehicle and trailer inspections, plus accurate logs and shipping paperwork, are part of the job
- AI tools are not used in reviewing or selecting candidates for this role
