About this job
CFT Recycling's transport division in Ottawa, ON is looking for a full-time AZ driver to haul loads safely and on time throughout the Ottawa area. You'll represent the company on every site while keeping your truck in great shape.
Pay
- $30/hour, paid bi-weekly
- An extra $2/hour safety and performance bonus, also calculated and paid bi-weekly
What you'll do
- Drive transport trucks to deliver loads around the region
- Carry out pre-trip, en-route and post-trip inspections
- Load, unload and secure materials properly
- Stay in close contact with dispatch to keep things running smoothly
- Keep your vehicle clean and report any mechanical issues right away
- Fill out logbooks accurately and follow MTO rules
- Treat customers professionally at every stop
- Be available for emergency or after-hours runs when needed
Requirements
- Valid AZ license with at least 3 years behind the wheel
- Minimum age 25 (insurance requirement)
- Clean driver's abstract and CVOR
- Solid knowledge of MTO rules, Hours of Service and how to secure loads
- Able to lift, bend and handle equipment physically
- Willing to work outdoors in any weather
