AZ Transit Truck Driver — $31.11/hr Starting Pay

Our company is looking for an AZ Transit Driver to run night transit routes out of the Arnprior Depot, moving loaded and empty trailers between GFS distribution centers and other points.

Schedule

• Sunday to Wednesday

• Shifts start between 5:30pm and 7:30pm

• Full shifts run 10-13 hours depending on weather and business needs

• Weekend availability is required

• You may need to cover nearby depots for deliveries or night transit during vacations or sick leave

Pay

• Starts at $31.11 per hour

What you'll haul

• Loaded and empty trailers moved between GFS distribution centers or point-to-point overnight

• Refrigerated van equipment, so you'll monitor reefer temperatures and report any mechanical problems or damage right away

Requirements

• Valid AZ license (Class 1) with a clean commercial driving record

• At least 2 years of AZ driving experience

• Prior professional driving experience is a plus

• Comfortable driving in all kinds of weather and road conditions

• Able to lift, push and pull product as needed

• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

• Punctual, detail-oriented and able to work independently or as part of a team

• Willing to help cover other nearby depots when needed

Day to day, you'll handle pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, complete check-ins accurately and on time, manage paperwork like registers, credits and pickups, and stay in touch with your supervisor or dispatcher about assignments and delivery timing. You'll also work with sales reps on customer concerns and build good working relationships with your fellow GFS team members.
