About this job
Our company is hiring a Transit Driver out of Owen Sound to run loaded and empty refrigerated trailers overnight between distribution centers and customer locations, Sunday through Thursday on night shifts starting at 6:00 PM.
Pay
- Starting hourly rate of $31.11
Schedule
- Sunday to Thursday, night shifts beginning at 6:00 PM, subject to change based on business needs
What you'll haul
- Refrigerated vans (reefer trailers), both loaded and empty, moving point to point overnight
What you'll do
- Deliver GFS products safely, accurately and on schedule
- Monitor reefer temperatures and report any mechanical problems or damage
- Complete pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and daily check-ins without errors
- Handle paperwork such as registers, credits and pick-ups
- Work with dispatch, supervisors and sales staff on assignments and customer issues
Requirements
- Valid AZ license with a clean commercial driving abstract
- At least 2 years of AZ driving experience
- Comfortable driving in a range of weather, temperature and road conditions
- Able to lift, push and pull product as needed
- Strong communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team
