AZ Transit Truck Driver — $31.11/hr Night Shifts

Our company is looking for an AZ Transit Driver to run loaded and empty trailers between GFS Distribution Centers and other points overnight, out of the Stittsville Depot. You will also handle deliveries to high-volume customers, operating refrigerated trailers safely and professionally.

Schedule

• Sunday, Monday, Thursday and Friday

• Night shifts starting between 5:30 and 7:30 PM

Pay

• Starting wage of $31.11 per hour

What you'll haul

• Loaded and empty trailers moved between GFS Distribution Centers or point-to-point overnight

• Refrigerated van freight, including monitoring reefer temperatures

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (AZ) license with a clean commercial driving abstract

• At least 2 years of AZ driving experience required; prior professional driving experience is preferred

• Comfortable working in varied weather, temperature and road conditions

• Strong attention to detail, punctuality and problem-solving skills

• Able to work independently as well as part of a team, with good verbal and written communication

• Physically able to lift, push and pull product as needed

What the job involves

• Delivering GFS products safely, accurately and on schedule

• Coordinating with supervisors, leadership and dispatch on assignments and delivery timing

• Completing pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, daily check-ins and related paperwork (register, credits, pick-ups, etc.)

• Reporting mechanical issues or damage promptly and keeping up with equipment maintenance

• Relaying customer concerns to management and sales staff

• Building good working relationships with fellow GFS employees and attending department meetings
