About this job
The North Transportation is expanding and looking for experienced AZ drivers to run freight between Canada and the USA. You'll operate newer tractor-trailers, with your choice of a Canada-only lane or a combined Canada-USA lane, hauling general freight and some flatbed loads.
Pay
- Paid monthly, in the $9,000 to $15,000 range
What you'll haul
- 53-foot semi trailers, general freight
- Flatbed experience is a plus
Routes
- Choose either the Canada-only lane or the combined Canada-USA lane
- Cross-border runs plus short and long-haul trips within the USA for drivers on that lane
Requirements
- Valid AZ license with at least 2 years of tractor-trailer experience
- Clean driving record, CVOR and abstract, with no accidents or violations
- Approved for Canada-USA border crossing
- Comfortable with Samsara ELD and safety compliance
- Team driving experience is a plus
What you'll do
- Drive tractor-trailers safely on short and long routes, including cross-border trips
- Secure loads and deliver freight on schedule
- Keep accurate logs and trip paperwork
- Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Follow DOT, company and safety rules
