About this job
Our company in Oakville, ON needs an AZ tanker operator to join its liquids and organics team, hauling hazardous liquid and solid waste between client sites.
What you'll do
- Drive tanker trucks and other equipment to move waste material between client locations
- Load and unload trucks
- Complete pre and post trip checks, manifests, log books and vehicle condition reports clearly and on time
- Keep equipment running to GFL's standards
- Follow Reg. 347/558, WHMIS and MTO rules, along with all environmental and health and safety policies
- Take on other tasks as needed
Requirements
- Valid AZ licence, with clean personal and CVOR abstracts (no demerit points)
- High school diploma, GED or equivalent
- About 3 years of driving or equipment operating experience preferred
- Comfortable handling paperwork with solid written communication skills
- Strong verbal skills for dealing with customers and coworkers
- Experience with heavy machinery or farm equipment is a plus, but GFL will train motivated candidates
