About this job
Our company, a long-running Canadian food manufacturer, needs an AZ shunt driver for its Barrie site on the afternoon shift. You'll move trailers between Barrie and Stayner and handle yard work to keep shipping and receiving flowing.
Pay
- $26.00 per hour, plus $1.50 per hour shift premium
- Overtime paid after 40 hours
Schedule
- Monday to Thursday, 2:30 PM to 1 AM
- Weekends off every Friday, Saturday and Sunday
What you'll do
- Shuttle trailers between the Barrie and Stayner locations
- Shunt trailers around the yard for shipping and secure them when parked
- Occasionally unload trailers at the receiving dock
- Track trailer maintenance needs, email vendors for repairs, and drive trailers to shops in Alliston and Toronto when needed
- Keep PM and annual safety inspections current through approved vendors
- Complete daily MTO service logs and safety checks
- Log damaged product paperwork and empty vinegar into rework totes
- Keep your work area tidy and follow safety and manufacturing procedures
Requirements
- AZ license
- Clean driving record
- Comfortable using Outlook and basic computer tools
- Strong communication skills and able to juggle multiple tasks
