About this job
Our company is looking for local owner operators to run food-grade and refrigerated freight out of Ajax, ON. The company handles both long and short-haul work plus DSD delivery, and was named a Top Fleet Employer for 2025.
Pay
- You're paid per mile.
- Payments go out by direct deposit twice a month.
What you'll haul
- Tractor-trailer runs on local routes, mainly transporting food products.
Support
- Dispatch is reachable around the clock.
- A safety vest is supplied.
Requirements
- Valid AZ commercial driver's license.
- At least 2 years of verifiable AZ driving experience, including time spent driving in the US.
- Strong communication skills and solid time management.
- Able to perform pre-trip, en-route and post-trip vehicle checks, secure cargo properly, and follow food-transport safety rules.
- Comfortable logging hours, mileage and fuel use through an ELD, and keeping dispatch and customers updated on pickups and deliveries.
- Willing to stay current with safety regulations and complete ongoing training.
- Expect some noise, vibration and traffic exposure on the job.
