About this job
Our company is looking for an AZ driver to handle LTL pickup and delivery out of its Kingston Terminal. This is a full-time, permanent position on the company's payroll, running Monday to Friday with weekends free.
Pay
- $30.01 per hour
- Safety bonuses available
- Employer contributes $7 for every hour worked toward your pension
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, weekends off
What you'll do
- Handle pickups and deliveries on your route
- Check your equipment daily and run safety inspections
- Let dispatch know if the truck needs repairs
- Follow safe driving practices on the job
- Forklift or dock experience is a plus
- Paid orientation and safety training included
Equipment
- Mix of manual and automatic trucks, equipped with current onboard technology
Requirements
- AZ license with air brake endorsement
- At least 2 years of trucking experience, including 2 years driving AZ trucks
- 2 years of experience with 10-speed manual transmissions
- 2 years of LTL delivery experience
- Clean driver's abstract and CVOR
- Must pass a pre-employment health exam, drug screen and criminal background check
- Must meet Transport Canada's driver qualification standards
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Comfortable working as part of a team in a fast-paced setting
- Solid English communication skills, spoken and written
- Basic math skills
