CommerceLink Logistics, a division of our company, is looking for an AZ driver to run local long-haul routes out of Mississauga, ON, with the chance to be home every day despite working overnight and weekend shifts.
What you'll haul
You'll handle timely, secure local deliveries for one of Canada's largest retail chains, operating a tractor trailer with either an automatic or manual multi-speed transmission.
What you'll do
- Check the mechanical, safety and emergency systems on your tractor trailer before, during and after each trip, including gauges, lights, electrical systems and signs of fluid leaks
- Hook up and unhook semi-trailer hoses
- Keep your driver log and other paperwork current for each shift
- Stay in contact with Dispatch
- Build good working relationships with customers and coworkers
- Lift items over 50 lbs when needed
- Use satellite tracking equipment
- Follow Ministry of Transportation and Highway Traffic Act rules
Schedule
This is a full-time role expected to run around 60 hours a week, though hours may shift with operational needs. Shifts fall in the afternoon, evening and night, with weekend work as needed.
Requirements
- Must be 23 or older
- AZ / Class 1 driver's license
- 3 years of long-haul commercial driving experience
