About this job
Manitoulin Transport in Sudbury is looking for a local pick-up and delivery driver to run Monday to Friday routes around the Sudbury terminal, driving a straight truck or tractor-trailer.
Pay
- Base wage of $26.00 per hour, guaranteed as a minimum
- Additional incentive pay on top of the hourly rate
- Potential to earn up to $85,000 a year
- Profit sharing included
Schedule and routes
- Monday to Friday local work within the Sudbury service area
- Start times shift based on daily freight volume
- Route may include Baxter home deliveries and filling in on other local tractor runs during vacations
- Occasional flexibility in your availability is needed
What you'll haul
- Less-than-truckload (LTL) freight for pickup and delivery to local customers
- Some stops involve bringing freight into patients' homes for medical deliveries
Requirements
- Valid AZ driver's license
- Clean criminal record and a clean driver's abstract
- Comfortable lifting more than 50 lbs
- Able to work with handheld delivery devices (training provided)
- Forklift and TDG certification (training provided)
- Good knowledge of the city and local area
- LTL freight experience preferred
- Reliable, punctual, good with people, and able to adapt to changes during the day
