About this job
Our company, a long-running Ontario supplier of residential construction products, is looking for an AZ driver to join its Ottawa delivery team, running local routes to residential construction sites.
Pay
- $28.00-$38.00 per hour, based on your skills and experience
Schedule
- Up to 44 hours per week, with extra hours possible during busy periods
- Monday to Friday, generally starting around 6:00 am and wrapping up near 4:00 pm
- Be home every night
What you'll haul
- You'll run mostly automatic late-model delivery trucks backed by a modern fleet management system, moving building materials to job sites
- Duties include loading and securing materials, driving to and from customer sites, unloading at the destination, and flagging any vehicle maintenance issues
- You'll follow MTO rules, including hours-of-service limits
Requirements
- Valid AZ driver's licence with air brake endorsement
- At least 2 years of recent AZ driving experience
- Manual transmission experience is a plus, as is background with roll-off truss trailers, Moffett operation, oversize loads, or electronic logging
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- You'll need your own reliable way to get to work, since there's no bus route to the site
- Legally eligible to work in Canada
