AZ Local Delivery Driver — Home Daily, $31.11/hr for First 3 Months

Our company is looking for an AZ driver to handle local delivery routes out of Ancaster, ON, with guaranteed daily home time.

Pay

• $31.11 per hour for your first 3 months

• Pay-for-performance incentive program kicks in after 3 months

Schedule

• Day shifts starting between 3 and 5 am

• 4-day work week, with overtime available when applicable

• Weekend work is required

• Shifts can run a full 10-13 hours, and hours vary with weather and business needs

• You may be asked to cover nearby depots for deliveries or night transit routes during vacations or sick leave

Home time

• Local routes mean you're guaranteed to be home every day

What you'll haul

• Food products delivered to customer locations using straight trucks or trailers

• Routes cover urban, short inter-urban and rural areas

• You'll manually sort and unload freight, hand-wheeling roughly 600 to 1,000 cases per shift using ramps and sometimes stairs

Responsibilities

• Build strong customer relationships through excellent service

• Complete pre-trip and post-trip truck inspections

• Keep accurate logs covering routes, temperatures, counts and any incidents

• Verify deliveries and manage customer invoices at drop-off

• Follow all health, safety and safe work procedures

Requirements

• Valid AZ license with a clean commercial driving abstract

• Physically able to lift, pull, stack and carry loads up to 80 lbs repeatedly

• Good communication and customer service skills, fluent in English

• Prior professional driving experience preferred

• Comfortable working in all kinds of weather, temperatures and road conditions

• Willing to flex to cover other nearby depots as needed
