AZ Local Delivery Driver — Cornwall, ON

Our company needs a full-time AZ driver based out of Cornwall, ON to run local routes into Quebec. You'll handle dry van freight on city and local lanes, working days and evenings Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed.

What you'll haul

• General freight in a dry van, delivered and picked up at customer sites around Cornwall

• Freight secured with straps, chains and load bars per load-securement rules

• Some hand-bombing (manual loading and unloading) when required

Schedule

• Full-time, days and evenings, Monday to Friday

• Weekend work as needed

• Flexibility expected for overtime, variable hours or overnight runs when operations demand it

Requirements

• Valid AZ license

• Bondable and legally able to work in Canada

• Clean CVOR and driver's abstract

• At least 2 years of verifiable AZ driving experience, with recent commercial driving experience within the last 3 months to 1 year

• Comfortable driving commercial vehicles in winter conditions

• Solid grasp of road safety rules, hours-of-service regulations and load securement

• Able to complete eLogs, inspection reports and delivery paperwork accurately

• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and up to 75 lbs when needed

• Good communication and customer service skills

• Familiarity with Cornwall and the surrounding area; LTL experience is a plus

What the job involves

• Driving company vehicles safely on city and local routes

• Completing pre-trip and post-trip inspections (tires, brakes, lights, cargo) and reporting issues to maintenance

• Keeping up with hours-of-service rules and company safety procedures

• Filling out e-logs, inspection reports, delivery paperwork and incident reports as needed
