AZ Local Delivery Driver — $31.11/hr, 4-Day Week

Our company needs an AZ Local Delivery Driver to run delivery shifts out of Ottawa. You'll need to live in Ottawa for this role.

Schedule

• Four-day work week, including Saturdays plus three other days to be determined

• Shifts start between 4:00am and 6:00am

Pay

• Starting hourly rate of $31.11, with increases tied to months of service

What you'll do

• Deliver GFS products safely, accurately and on schedule

• Manually sort and unload food, then hand-wheel it into customer locations using ramps and sometimes stairs (roughly 600-1000 cases per shift)

• Collect customer payments and handle company funds per GFS banking rules

• Take on Sales Service duties by day 90 of employment

• Maintain your equipment, watch reefer temperatures, and report any mechanical problems or damage right away

• Complete daily check-ins without errors, handle paperwork like registers, credits and pick-ups, and do pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections

• Build strong relationships with customers, coworkers and sales reps, and flag any customer concerns to management

• Join department meetings and other assigned tasks

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 license with a clean driver's abstract

• Able to lift, push and pull up to 80 lbs

• Eligible for bonding and TDG (transportation of dangerous goods) certification

• Strong customer service and mechanical skills

• Self-directed, reliable and professional, even under pressure

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Available to work weekends
