G. Zavitz Ltd., a family-owned carrier based in Niagara Falls since 1952, needs an AZ driver living in the Niagara Region for local cross-border runs through Southern and South Western Ontario. You'll run round trips out of the Niagara Falls terminal and be home every day.
Pay
- $50,000.00-$70,000.00 per year, paid hourly
- Strong benefits package kicks in after 90 days on the job
Home time
- Home daily, working out of the Niagara Falls terminal
- Weekend availability needed, at least 3 days per month
What you'll haul
- Freight moving across Ontario and into Western New York for long-standing customers
- Steady, dependable loads thanks to the company's decades-long client relationships
- An on-site shop keeps equipment downtime to a minimum
Requirements
- Valid Class AZ licence
- At least 1 year of verifiable commercial driving experience
- Must live in the Niagara Region
- Able to cross the border for local trips
- Comfortable working weekends (minimum 3 days monthly)
- Solid knowledge of road safety and traffic laws, able to manage time and work without close supervision
- Will complete pre- and post-trip vehicle checks, follow Hours of Service rules, keep accurate delivery records, stay in touch with dispatch, and follow all applicable transportation laws
