About this job
Manitoulin Transport is hiring an AZ/Class 1 linehaul driver for a set regional run between New Liskeard, Thunder Bay, and Hearst. You'll also operate a forklift, with in-house certification provided.
Pay
- $30.98–$33.98 an hour
- Other company material lists $33.68/hr while driving and $30.68/hr on duty not driving
Schedule
- Monday evening to Saturday morning, with a 5:00 pm nightly departure
- Day-shift run: depart New Liskeard Tuesday and Thursday at 6:00 AM for Thunder Bay, then depart Thunder Bay Wednesday and Friday at 6:00 AM, returning to New Liskeard with a switch in Hearst on Saturdays
What you'll do
- Transport goods safely and on time
- Operate a forklift (training provided)
- Complete pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip inspections
- Follow transportation laws, regulations, and company policy
- Communicate with dispatch, customers, and other drivers
- Keep your truck cab and trailer clean and organized
Requirements
- Class 1 or AZ license
- Knowledge of ELD, hours of service, and load securement (TDG & WHMIS)
- Forklift operating experience
- Clean criminal record check, driver's abstract, and references
