About this job
Our company needs AZ Line Haul Drivers in Guelph, ON to run solid waste loads from transfer stations to landfills across the border into Michigan. You'll be home every night after daily cross-border runs.
What you'll haul
- Daily cross-border trips hauling solid waste from transfer stations to various landfills in Michigan
- Runs of roughly 600-1100 km per day, lasting 10-14 hours
- You'll work with late-model, dedicated tractors and trailers in an experienced e-log fleet
Schedule
- Home nightly
- Optional Saturday shifts available
Requirements
- Valid AZ license
- At least 3 years of relevant AZ driving experience
- Must be able to cross the US border daily in a commercial motor vehicle
- Strong backing skills required
- Clean driver's abstract, CVOR abstract, criminal background check and DOT-regulated drug testing required
- Waste hauling experience preferred; heavy hauling experience is a plus
- Solid knowledge of trucking rules and regulations, with a professional, steady attitude under pressure
Training
- Two weeks of paid, industry-specific training provided in Ayr, ON
- One-on-one coaching from an experienced driver trainer
