About this job
This is our company' lease operator program, built for company drivers who want to run their own truck without buying one outright first. You lease a truck from the company and operate under its authority, pulling its freight on its dispatch, while taking on the truck's costs in exchange for earning per load instead of by mile or hour.
Our company is a Toronto-based asset carrier with more than 120 trucks, its own customs desk, and a cross-dock in Concord. The program is open both to current company drivers and to experienced drivers coming in from outside.
How it works
Before you sign on, the company reviews the full numbers with you: the lease payment, what it covers and what it doesn't, fuel costs, maintenance responsibility, insurance, and a realistic weekly settlement based on the lanes you'd actually drive. The goal is no surprises a few months in.
What you'll haul
Canada/US cross-border lanes, with steady freight on established routes, so you're not sourcing your own loads.
What's provided
- Established, consistent lanes
- In-house customs processing and a cross-dock location in Concord
- A fuel card program
- Help with plates, permits and insurance
- Regular settlements with every deduction broken out
Requirements
- AZ license with a clean abstract and CVOR
- At least 2 years of verifiable driving experience (not open to new drivers)
- FAST card, or ability to get one
- Cross-border driving experience and a clean criminal record for US entry
- Willingness to accept that the upside is higher, but the truck's costs are now on you
Worth knowing
Lease-purchase deals often get a bad name in trucking, sometimes for good reason. The company encourages you to come in with questions rather than assumptions — ask what happens if you want to exit, if the truck breaks down, or what a rough week on settlement looks like, not just a strong one. If the numbers don't work for you, staying on as a company driver remains an option.
The hiring carrier's name is shared with you once you apply through the DriverRoll app, where you can message them directly.
