About this job
Our company is growing its Intermodal team out of Ingleside, hauling containers between the Montreal port and railyards and customers across eastern Ontario and Quebec. You'll work as a direct employee, not a contractor, with steady full-time hours and no-touch freight.
What you'll haul
You'll pick up loaded containers in Montreal and deliver them to customers or drop lots in eastern Ontario and Quebec, then head back to the ports with empty or loaded containers. Most stops are live unloads, and you may stay hooked to the same chassis for several days running. Expect busy, congested rail yards with large equipment, so safety and patience matter here. There are no border crossings and no slip seating.
Pay
You're paid a combination of mileage and hourly rates plus bonus programs, with estimated annual gross earnings between 63-89K. A $1500 sign-on bonus is included, and pay is deposited bi-weekly by direct deposit.
Home time
You'll be based out of the Ingleside, ON park location and return home to Prescott either nightly or on weekends, giving you daily or weekly home time depending on the run.
Requirements
- Valid Class-1/AZ license with verifiable tractor-trailer experience in Canada or the US
- At least 1 year of experience preferred
- Experience at Montreal's ports is a plus, though not required
Benefits
- Benefits start on day 1
- Paid one-on-one training in the cab
- Safe, legally compliant dispatching
- Strong ELD compliance record, which helps you move through scales with fewer delays
- Support for a better work-life balance
Our company has been named a 2026 Best Fleet to Drive For and has received Trucking HR Canada's Top Fleet Employer of Distinction for 13 years running, with a strong CVOR safety rating. The company follows fair employment practices and values a diverse, inclusive workplace. This posting is for a current opening.
