About this job
Our company is growing its Intermodal team out of Prescott, ON, moving containers between the Port of Montreal and rail yards to destinations across eastern Ontario and Quebec. You'd run container loads Monday to Friday in a sleeper berth truck, then return to Prescott.
What you'll haul
- You'll pick up loaded containers in Montreal and deliver to customers or drop lots, then head back to the ports with empty or loaded containers.
- Most drops are live unload, and you'll often stay hooked to the same chassis for several days running.
- No border crossings and no-touch freight.
- You'll be working in busy, congested rail yards around large equipment, so safety and patience matter.
Pay
- $1500 sign-on bonus.
- Pay combines mileage and hourly rates, plus bonus programs.
- Estimated annual gross earnings range from 63-89K.
- Paid bi-weekly by direct deposit.
Home time
- The posting describes both weekly home time, with weekends off after driving Monday to Friday, and daily home time back to Prescott. Confirm the actual schedule with Kriska.
- No slip seating - the truck is yours.
Requirements
- Valid Class-1/AZ license with verifiable tractor-trailer experience in Canada or the US; candidates with 1+ years are preferred.
- Experience at the Port of Montreal is a plus but not required.
- You'll be a direct employee of our company, not a contractor.
Benefits
- Benefits start on day one.
- Paid one-on-one training in the cab.
- Dispatches are run safely and legally, and the fleet's ELD compliance record helps you move through scales without delay.
- our company has been named a 2026 Best Fleet to Drive For and has received Trucking HR Canada's Top Fleet Employer of Distinction for 13 years running, with a strong CVOR safety rating.
