AZ Highway Truck Driver — $0.56/Mile Plus $27.59/hr at Customer Location

Erb Group, a long-running refrigerated carrier based in New Hamburg, Ontario, is hiring an AZ highway driver out of its Thunder Bay terminal to haul temperature-controlled freight across Canada and the U.S.

Pay

• Paid $0.56 per mile plus $27.59 per hour while at the customer location

Schedule

• Sunday through Thursday, with 7pm starts

• Hours vary based on HOS rules, so there's no fixed quitting time

• Bid runs are awarded by seniority; otherwise you're an open board driver dispatched as needed

• Mostly home each night, though occasional overnight trips can happen

• Some slip-seating may apply, and you may need to operate DZ-class units at times

What you'll haul

• Refrigerated, temperature-sensitive goods moved between Canadian and U.S. terminals

What you'll do

• Drive safely through all road and weather conditions

• Deliver freight on schedule following company policy

• Keep dispatch updated on pickups, deliveries, and issues

• Complete pre-trip inspections and report maintenance needs

• Handle required paperwork and freight labeling

• Load and unload product safely

• Use the onboard electronic logging and communication system

• Attend safety meetings

Requirements

• Valid AZ/Class 1 license

• At least 1 year of verifiable driving experience on that license

• Able to pass a pre-employment drug test and health screening

• Must supply a CVOR, driver abstract, and license copy at interview

• Reference and criminal background checks required

• Wear company-provided PPE
