About this job
Our company, a family-run carrier, is looking for an experienced AZ driver to run flatbed and step deck loads across Ontario, with every shift ending back home.
Pay
- $26.00–$35.00 per hour, based on experience and performance
Home time
- Ontario-only routes, home every day
- Flexible scheduling
What you'll haul
- Flatbed and step deck trailers
- You'll strap, chain, and tarp freight, and help with loading/unloading when needed
Requirements
- Valid AZ license and a clean CVOR
- At least 3 years behind the wheel
- Flatbed or step deck experience helps but isn't mandatory — training is provided
- Comfortable securing loads, handling straps and chains, and climbing trailer access points
- Fluent English, solid communication and time-management skills
- Some mechanical know-how is a plus
You'll also handle pre- and post-trip inspections, keep accurate paperwork, stay in touch with dispatch and customers, and flag any mechanical problems.
