About this job
Our company is hiring an AZ truck driver for its Concord location (300 Connie Crescent) to haul steel and related materials on flatbed and straight trucks, running routes within Ontario. You'll be home every night and have weekends off.
Pay
- $31.00 per hour, with increases based on hours worked
- Competitive pay and benefits package
Schedule
- Full-time, 40+ hours per week, up to 60 hours weekly
- Day shift with start times that vary day to day
- No overnight stays, home every night, weekends off
What you'll haul
- Steel and related materials, transported on tractor-trailers and straight trucks
- Flatbed work, including securing loads and manually tarping when needed
What you'll do
- Operate trucks safely and follow all company safety rules
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections
- Climb onto trailers and handle materials as needed
- Fill out electronic logs, inspection reports and incident reports
- Other duties as assigned
Working conditions
- Outdoor work in all seasons while securing loads
- Extended periods of sitting and driving
- Physical demands include lifting up to 75 lbs, throwing up to 20 lbs, and frequent climbing in and out of the cab and onto the flatbed
Requirements
- Valid AZ licence, with a clean CVOR and driver's abstract
- At least 2 years of driving experience; flatbed and steel-hauling experience is a plus
- At least 1 year of manual transmission experience
- Clean criminal record check, pre-employment physical and drug test
- Must pass a pre-employment road test
- Able to lift up to 75 lbs, throw up to 20 lbs, and climb repeatedly on trailers
- Solid understanding of safe driving practices, with a strong work ethic and safety focus
