AZ Flatbed Tractor Trailer Driver — $30–$35/hr

Our company in Ajax, ON needs an AZ driver to haul and handle construction equipment on a 53ft flatbed. You'll work Monday to Friday, with early starts as early as 4:00 am and overtime available.

Pay

• $30 to $35 per hour, plus overtime

• 3 weeks of paid vacation (minimum)

What you'll haul

• Construction and heavy equipment, including boom lifts, on a 53ft flatbed trailer

• You'll pick up, deliver and retrieve equipment at customer sites

Schedule

• Monday to Friday

• Early morning starts possible, as early as 4:00 am

• Overtime available

Requirements

• Valid Class 1 (AZ) license

• A recent commercial driver's abstract

• At least 3 years of experience driving a manual 53ft flatbed hauling boom lifts

• Comfortable using electronic logs

• Able to load and unload heavy equipment, lift up to 50 pounds regularly, and handle bending, kneeling, climbing and standing for long stretches

• Able to work both indoors and outdoors as needed

What the job involves

• Operating the vehicle safely in traffic, bad weather, tight loading docks and other tough conditions

• Doing pre- and post-trip inspections and keeping delivery paperwork and logs accurate and ready for review

• Securing loads with chains, straps and blocking according to DOT procedures

• Reporting any equipment damage, delays or accidents to the branch or dispatcher

• Staying flexible to adjust to changing customer demands through the day
