About this job
Our company in Burlington, ON is looking for an AZ driver to haul steel on a flatbed, with set weekday hours and weekends free.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, starting at 6am
- Evenings and weekends off
- 50-55 hours weekly, with overtime kicking in past 44 hours
Pay and bonuses
- $28.00-$30.00 per hour, with wages set above market rate depending on your experience
- Quarterly bonus plan
- $700 sign-on bonus, split into $350 after your first two weeks and $350 at the 90-day mark
What you'll haul
You'll drive a commercial flatbed truck to deliver steel to various sites, making sure loads are properly secured and handled along the way.
Requirements
- Valid AZ license with a clean record
- Minimum age 25
- At least 1 year of commercial driving experience
- Comfortable and competent operating heavy equipment
- Good communication skills and careful attention to detail for logs and paperwork
- Able to commute reliably to Burlington
Day to day, you'll also check your truck and trailer before trips, keep accurate delivery and maintenance records, follow all traffic and safety rules, and stay in touch with dispatch about your route.
