About this job
A construction materials and building supplies distributor in Brantford needs an experienced AZ driver for flatbed and container work. The shift runs from 5pm to 4am, five days a week, with possible overtime.
Pay
- Starting at $28.00 per hour
What you'll haul
- Container moves: hauling a chassis for container pickups from Brampton, delivery to Brantford, and empty returns
- Flatbed moves: running roughly 48-53 ft trailers, strapping and securing loads (tarping is not required)
- Runs between the CN/CP rail yard in Brampton and the company's Brantford and Burlington warehouses
- Flatbed deliveries from Burlington to job sites and warehouses in the GTA
- Occasional lifting of items up to 50 lbs
Requirements
- At least 5 years of AZ driving experience
- Valid AZ license
- Experience with standard transmission
- Flatbed experience preferred
- Ability to operate a Moffett truck
- Proof of at least 2 years of verifiable insurance and driving history with a prior trucking company
- Clean driving abstract and criminal record check
- Comfortable working solo or as part of a team with minimal supervision
- Local candidates preferred
